The
tag begins the table, you place what you want inside, and end the table with the
tag.
Building tables in HTML may at first look difficult but if you keep cool and watch your step, it is actually strictly logical - just like everything else in HTML.
Example 1:
<>
<>Cell 1< /td >
<>Cell 2< /td >
<>
<>Cell 3< /td>
<>Cell 4< /td>
< /tr>
< /table>
Place an image is constant. You will apply the same format every time.
Images you are going to use in a subdirectory called "images". That means place the image in a directory (to be called "images") under the directory where your web pages are located (which would be the "root" directory for your site).
Example:
< src= "imagename.gif" alt="some content" width="52" height="42">
Introduction to Development Using a Hypertext Preprocessor Language.
Initially, PHP was designed for creating dynamic web pages. This name has since been updated to PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor, in recognition of a much wider target developer audience than originally planned.
Indeed, PHP programming now includes many capabilities and platforms, largely thanks to an active developer base offering many free extensions and modules for download under the PHP.
However, it is inevitable that various individuals have built localized, specialized, or just platform-dependent versions. This provides to increase the reach, and helps reach the popularity of PHP as a programming language in its own right.
PHP used for?
PHP can be used to write programs almost any platform or technology. However, the most widely supported uses are for creating:
- Dynamic Web Pages
- Command Line applications
- Client side GUI applications
PHP is only really capable of servicing the first of these. In conjunction with a suitable web server, or web host providing access to server side scripting, PHP can be used immediately to create a dynamic aspect to web pages.
PHP can be used as a client side programming language, too. Most of the commonly available binaries support local programming as well as server side development, making web development easier for those working with a remotely hosted web service.
Where I can PHP be downloaded?
The official source of the PHP language, www.php.net, has builds for Windows and the total source code for Linux users. The Unix/Linux source code must be used to build the official PHP implementation, binaries are only provided for Windows. However, third parties have created platform-specific 'official' versions, recognized by The PHP Group for:
- Mac OS
- Novell Netware
- OS/2
- Solaris platforms
- Various others
These are all accessible from the PHP site (www.php.net). Most good web hosts will also provide access to the most recent PHP version.
PHP Language structure?
For those who just want to be able to understand the various templates in CMS such as Drupal, Joomla, and so on, it is worth noting that PHP code will usually be included in an HTML document like so:
Example One
This is then interpreted by the web server before the page is rendered as HTML for delivery to the client browser. The most common way to output text is with the echo command: text can be plain or HTML; it is the end-user client browser that will understand it.
The style of the language is similar to C, in that the syntax for decision making, looping, and so forth are almost identical to C. PHP does, however, provide its own, and these are completely well-documented.
Avoid Few Spamming Sins Don’t use the following tactics :
1. Doorway pages
Also called gateway pages, entry pages, bridge pages, hallway bridges, doorway pages are created for spiders, not visitors.
2. Meta refresh tags and redirects
A meta refresh tag, which is placed inside the HTML code of a Web Page,
can be used to redirect Visitor automatically from one page to another without requiring them to click a link. Sometimes, a redirect is necessary. You’ll want people who find your old URLs to be automatically redirected to your new URLs. But unfortunately, because spammers often optimize a page for high-traffic keywords and then use the meta refresh tag to send people to a completely irrelevant Web page, your site could be unfairly penalized if you use a meta refresh tag this way.
3. Duplicate contentPutting the same, or even similar, content on different domain names is considered to be duplicate content. The search engines don’t want sites with the same content polluting their natural results. A previous client of mine tried this, even though I told him not to. Really, his primary domain was not penalized, but none of his duplicate pages were indexed, even though the spiders did come check them out.
4. Information pages
Because surfers and spiders value content, a domain name used as a single information page doesn’t provide value. Don’t take the dozens of domains you bought, post one page of content on each of them, optimize each for a keyword, and then link them all back to your Web site. Spiders will smell spam.
5. Hidden text
Avoid hidden text on your web page.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO). There is a lot involved with search engine marketing. In fact, it can be a bit overwhelming, even for those with a great deal of experience.
SEO falls into online public relations because many consumers see search engines as editorial gatekeepers, displaying “the best” matches for their searches.
We know that we can influence those rankings, and we do so, in every way possible. While most people consider SEO to be PR, payper- click is definitely thought of as online advertising, You can improve your Web page rankings in the organic search results (also called natural search results). Here’s how it works. The search engines send out spiders (also called crawlers) to scour the Web and collect Web pages for the search engines’ databases. Spiders build up a search engine’s library of Web pages, so to speak. Many search engines such as Ask.com, Google, MSN Search, and Yahoo! display both paid and organic results on the same page.
Search engine marketing can provide an effective method of driving highly targeted visitors to your web site.
The following is a simple guide to search engine marketing. Although it is meant for beginners, it can also be very useful for more advanced search engine marketers as a reference source. Each section provides a brief overview of the basics followed by resources for further study.
Take it one step at a time and you'll soon understand the basics of search engine marketing...

Creating visitor reliability is that those who frequently visit your site most likely tell their friends, Even if this visits are all taking place in Cyberspace, never underestimate the power of down to earth mouth to mouth advertisement. High quality content and continuously updating is to do, to retain the interest of your visitors. An update once or twice a month is the very minimum that must be met. When we built a commercial site for a client we always keep the space for a "What's New" page in mind even if we cannot convince the client in the first phase how important this really is, he/she will realize the necessity when he/she views the stats after the launch.
Google very much bases the ranking on how important your web site is, on how many links from other web sites are pointing to your site. So from this perspective seen, link building is one of the most common and most effective forms of web site promotion but should be left to the professional. Even inferior your own ranking can drop if you link to a site which is banned and you do not know about it or which has a bad ranking and not an excellent content and topic to compensate this lack through the promise of future visitors.
We are aware of many details that are important in getting top rankings.
Doing the following steps :- Maximum number of characters that should be used in the Keyword Meta Tag
- Consequence of placing the page's Title just below the "
" statement vs. the bottom and just above "" statement? - Which search engine bases a majority of its ranking on popularity?
- Listed on Yahoo or LookSmart, AOL, Google.
- Avoid to create websites that use frames
- Top search engines or directories used by people.
- A listing on directory also gets that page listed on MSN, Google, Overture. Yahoo. ASK.
High Rankings and increase web traffic to your site by doing the following stepsResearch what keywords people use most often on search engines that pertain to your products or services; use these keywords as text in the design to increase website traffic.
Keep It Simple - - Many web designers use too many graphical images and programs like Java, Flash, etc. which results in lower rankings and less traffic..
- Web pages, like a spread sheet, are made using cells and tables. Use as few cells and tables in your web design as possible.
- Create good Meta Tags. Each page should have different keywords in the Title and the Description Meta Tag.
- Limit the number of times that you repeat words in your Keyword Meta Tag.
- Place your important keywords at the top of the page as text headers.
- Frames based websites should only be used for Intranet (a site only for company employees) and not for Internet.
- Limit your use of services that automatically submits your URL to the top 10 search engines.
- When completed with a page, run a spell checking and then compress the html code.
- Keep track of your search engine rankings and website traffic.
- Once a website is indexed, a good web designer should go back and improve pages that didn't get high rankings on key words.
- Every 3 months you should make a small change on each web page. Search engines like to see that changes are being made to a site and that it just isn't sitting there for years with no upgrades.
Introduce you to the very basics of HyperText Mark-up Language(HTML). I advise you take the primer one at a time over 10 days. By the end of the week, you'll simply know enough to make your own HTML home page.
HTML?
Hyper is the opposite of linear. It used to be that computer programs had to move in a linear fashion. This before this, this before this, and so on. HTML does not hold to that pattern and allows the person viewing the World Wide Web page to go anywhere, any time they want.
Text is what you will use. Real, honest to goodness English letters.
Mark up is what you will do. You will write in plain English and then mark up what you wrote.
Language because they needed something that started with "L" to finish HTML and Hypertext Markup Louie didn't flow correctly. Because it's a language, really -- but the language is plain English.
